Life, Interrupted

I am working my way through a scene with Allie trying to feel her way as an instructor of young future practitioners. When I am with Allie, and she is analyzing the scene through her own experiences and reading, it flows quickly. But when I get to the part where a boy is trying to explain how he accidentally did a spell, I creep.

I type a line or two, and then I heat a cup of tea.

I come back, type another paragraph, then make a phone call for an order.

I type two more sentences, by themselves, because the ideas are important.

Toast a brown rice tortilla and break it into little pieces to nibble on.

Two more sentences.

I can't wait until I get back to Allie grasping what he is trying to explain, and they start experimenting. Then I think it will begin to flow again.

Now you knew there was going to be another shoe dropping somewhere.
